Coping in the Time of Corona

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

7/5/20: Now is a good time to embrace compassion, for yourself and for everyone. We are all affected by quarantine and Corona, even if you still have your job and home. No one is without loss. And we have no rule book and are doing this for the first time, so of course we make mistakes and are confused and can experience every emotion imaginable.  Feel free to explore Corona Resources on this site and reach out to explore how I can help.

Many people are struggling with the disruptions, isolation, and uncertainties due to the lock-downs and the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have previously experienced trauma, this time may be especially challenging. Your daily life with isolation, lack of control, and feelings of fear and powerlessness may be increasing during this time.

A basic rule of thumb is to focus on increasing your structure, safe connections, and sense of control. Try every day to achieve the 3 Ms: Move, Make something, and Meet (virtually).  Limit your social media and news if they increase your anxiety. Try to focus on gratitude and on positive information and we will get through this together.
